BLOQ5³ – Compact CNC. Maximum Performance.

The BLOQ5³ is a CNC milling machine engineered without compromise – for anyone who demands precision, rigidity and performance in a compact format. Designed for machining aluminium, steel and even titanium, it offers a level of structural stiffness and build quality that is unmatched in its size and price class.

At the heart of the BLOQ5³ is our custom-designed Castolith™ cast frame, paired with CNC-machined steel frame components. All parts are stress-relieved by annealing after casting, then precisely machined – the main frame in eight setups from all sides. All guide surfaces of the steel components are additionally precision-ground, as is the T-slot machining table, which is annealed and ground on both sides for maximum flatness, stability and clamping force.

The machine features C5 ball screws, 15 mm linear rails and powerful servo drives with backlash-free couplings – delivering up to 8 m/min feed rates, excellent repeatability and smooth, consistent motion.

The integrated Dominator SE 32-bit 4-axis controller runs completely standalone – no external computer required. An optional high-quality touchscreen with mount is available. For professional environments, the BLOQ5³ can be equipped with a fully enclosed housing, Siemens safety door switches, additional emergency stop and a well-structured control panel – ideal for workshops, training facilities or industrial settings.

For maximum cutting performance, choose the optional high-torque steel spindle with ER32 collet system – a powerful servo-driven unit delivering up to 14× the torque, perfect for larger tools, hard materials and aggressive machining.

The clever, modular case system serves as a transport crate, machine stand and mounting platform for accessories such as coolant tank, side tables, storage or workholding. This makes the BLOQ5³ not only powerful, but also extremely versatile.

The BLOQ5 is based on the proven design of the BLOQ4³.

It uses the same high-quality components, machine structure and control system – with one key difference: increased travel in the X and Y axes.
Perfect for users who need more space for larger workpieces or fixtures, without compromising on the compact footprint and precision of the BLOQ series.

Starting at CHF 9500.–, the BLOQ5³ redefines what compact CNC milling can be.

Castolith™ -Frame

The Castolith frame is a custom-engineered, monolithic machine structure cast entirely from a single block of Iron. In one unified casting process, the base frame, side gantry supports, lower enclosure, and integrated coolant and chip tray are formed - with no bolted-on parts or weld seams.

After casting, the structure is annealed to relieve internal stresses, then precision-machined on all sides. The result is an exceptionally rigid, dimensionally stable frame, purpose-built to handle demanding industrial loads – a concept found nowhere else in this class of machine.

FEM Simulation: Verification of Structural Reserves of the BLOQ5³

To assess the frame stiffness, the Castolith™ frame of the BLOQ4³ (a little smaller than BLOQ5³ ) was subjected to a finite element analysis (FEM). The objective was not only to validate the structure under operating conditions but especially to evaluate the mechanical reserves under significantly elevated loads.

For this purpose, forces of 1000 N, several times the typical process forces, were applied in the X, Y, and Z directions at the mounting points of the X-portal. Deformations were evaluated relative to the mounting points of the Y linear guides - precisely at the mechanical interface where the frame structure must demonstrate its stiffness.

Simulation Results:
  • X direction: 0.008 mm to 0.014 mm

  • Y direction: 0.006 mm to 0.012 mm

  • Z direction: 0.003 mm to 0.004 mm

Despite these deliberately exaggerated test loads, the Castolith™ frame showed only minimal deformations—a clear indication of its high inherent stiffness and structural robustness.

Conclusion:

The FEM simulation impressively demonstrates that the BLOQ4³ has generous stiffness reserves and remains dimensionally stable even under extreme loads. This provides an ideal foundation for reliable machining processes with high repeatability - even in dynamic applications.

BLOQ UCCS – Everything Inside. Nothing Outside.

With the BLOQ UCCS (Ultra Compact Control System), we’ve integrated the entire control technology of the BLOQ5³ directly into the machine – no external control cabinet, no cable clutter, no add-on box cluttering up your workspace. Everything the machine needs is built right in.

At the rear of the machine sits the core: the Dominator 32-bit CNC controller, a powerful industrial PC, and a safety relay – all compactly housed, yet fully accessible. The ultra-compact 350-watt power supply ensures reliable and efficient operation, even under continuous load.

The frequency inverter is cleanly installed in the lower section of the machine – protected, well-ventilated, and easy to access, with direct connection to the programming interface. Everything stays in place – compact, EMC-safe, and fully internally wired.

The result: a tidy, space-saving setup packed with industrial-grade performance.

Control, safety and power – all on board. Just the way it should be.

BLOQ Modular Case System – Everything in Its Place

The modular case system of the BLOQ5³ is far more than just packaging. Built from metal and plywood with internal padding, it provides safe protection during transport – and doubles as a smart, stable machine stand during operation.

Inside, there’s space for the entire base machine – plus the touchscreen with mount, all accessories, workholding components and small parts. Almost every available option or upgrade fits inside, neatly organised, secure, and well protected.

With pre-machined mounting points, you can attach side tables, coolant tank, tool trays or the control unit directly to the case. In just a few steps, the transport crate transforms into a fully functional, mobile CNC workstation.

The case stands on heavy-duty retractable machine feet, each rated for 500 kg – allowing free movement on casters and solid, vibration-damped positioning during machining.

The result: a system that works with you – in the workshop, in training, on the move, or in production.

Available Spindle Options

The spindle is the heart of every milling machine – and it determines what you can truly get out of your BLOQ5³. That’s why we offer three precisely matched spindle variants, each tailored for a specific application.

Swapping spindles later is not intended, as each one is mounted, electrically configured and tuned to the machine as a complete system.
So choose carefully – based on your materials, tooling, and the kind of work you plan to do.

Whether you’re looking for a reliable all-rounder, maximum torque, or ultra-fine micro-machining:

With the right spindle, the BLOQ5³ becomes the perfect machine for your application.
